Well we got up at 530 am this morning and everyone except Ken and Russ were up without us calling and knocking on their door at 5am this morning....but they did make it in time for us to catch our flight to Tel Aviv. We had a great flight and arrived at 335pm Tel Aviv time to bright sunshine and 22 celsius. Going through customs was crazy busy but we were all surprised at how little security was evident. We were through in minutes and were all excited to see our LUGGAGE since we had not seen it since we left Vancouver.
We got to our Kabbutz, got our luggage to our rooms and headed off to the dining room for a feast. We had so many salads and hot meats and vegetables that no one left hungry. The kabbutz iis right on the Mediterranean sea and some of already gone for a walk along the shore. The kabbutz is located right next door to Tel Dor which is an old Phoenician port city in King Herad's time. The Kabbutz is a series of duplex villas in a scenic garden of local trees and flowers. Outside our rooms we have hammocks, patios and some come with sea views.
Tomorrow we are off to Ceasarea, a druz village, Megiddo where we will overlook the valley of the Armageddon, and Mount Carmel. We will have our first falafel lunch in the Druz village.
Everyone is healthy for those who know Susan her eye is still bothering her but seems to be getting better.
Everyone is still tired from lack of sleep (for those in BC we're now 10 time zones ahead of you)
but we're all excited to be here and start visiting the holy land.
Everyone wants me to send hello to their family. You are in our prayers and thank you everyone for praying for us.
We will send you a new update tomorrow (as long as internet access is available.)
Good night and Gob Bless.
Glenda
